History

Scitec Research SA was founded in 1979 by Dr. Alain Donzel, to provide instrumental analysis services to the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, as well as to environmental professionals.

A quality assurance program was established during the company’s formative years. Certification by the Department of Health in the State of New York was obtained in 1990 for quality control of drinking water. The laboratory has also been accredited since 1995, first in accordance with international standard EN45001, and, since 2002, in accordance with ISO / IEC 17025. More recently, in order to extend its services to the pharmaceutical industry, the company obtained Swissmedic approval in 2010.

Since its creation, the company's activities have focused on instrumental analysis services, the development of new analysis technologies, and scientific consultancy.

In September 2021, Scitec Research SA joins the Eurofins Group, an international group of companies specializing in life sciences that provides a unique range of analytical services to customers in many industries.

In July 2023, Scitec Research SA becomes Eurofins Scitec SA.
